About MXDoctor

MXDoctor is a free diagnostic toolkit for the unglamorous records that decide whether your email arrives and your website stays trusted: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DNS, SSL certificates, blacklists and uptime.

It exists because of a pattern anyone who runs servers has seen too many times: a business discovers its invoices have been landing in spam for a month, or that its domain could be spoofed by anyone, or that its certificate expired on a Sunday — and in every case the information that would have warned them was sitting in public DNS the whole time. Nobody lacked the data. Nobody was looking at it.

The tools here look. They run the same lookups a mail server runs, show the raw records beside a plain-English reading of them, and name the fix. No account, no cached database, no upsell wall between you and your own domain's results.

Who runs it

MXDoctor is built and operated by the team behind UptimeVitals, a monitoring service run by people who operate real hosting infrastructure — mail servers, DNS zones and customer websites — for a living. These checkers began as our own internal diagnostic habits, the things we check first when a client says "email is broken". Publishing them as free tools is both a service and an honest trade: if a one-off check is all you need, it is yours; if you would rather never think about it again, the monitoring is what we sell.

How the tools make money

Transparency, because a diagnostics site should practise it: MXDoctor carries advertising (Google AdSense) on its content pages, and it introduces its sister product, UptimeVitals monitoring. The tools themselves are not limited, throttled or held hostage to either — a checker that lies to sell an upgrade would not deserve the name.
