What MXDoctor is
MXDoctor (mxdoctor.com) provides free diagnostic tools that query public information — DNS records, SSL certificates, blacklist databases — about domains and IP addresses submitted by visitors.
Information we collect
Domains and IPs you check. When you run a tool, the domain or address you enter is processed to produce your result. We may keep aggregate, non-identifying statistics (for example, how many checks each tool performed) to operate and improve the service.
Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our servers record IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, pages visited and timestamps. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention and capacity planning, and are retained for a limited period.
We have no accounts on this site. MXDoctor does not ask you to register, and we do not collect names, passwords or payment information here.
Advertising and cookies
MXDoctor displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads; you can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If we use web analytics, it is configured to aggregate usage (pages viewed, tools used) rather than to identify individuals.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share server logs except where required by law or to protect the service against abuse. Domains you check are public DNS names; checking one does not notify its owner.
External links
This site links to third-party sites, including our sister product UptimeVitals (uptimevitals.com), which has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.
